Rev is hairy and more updates…

Look how hairy my sweet horse is now compared to September! This is a strange sight when I was photographing Erin and Kris at the horse farm a few weeks ago. I walked up and didn’t see my horse. I was a little worried that someone had taken him and then as we got closer I saw that he was hiding behind his blanket lying on the ground. At first I thought he had choliced. We walked into the pen and he still was lying there. Kris went up and started petting him and he still stayed there. Finally I kissed a few times and he got up. I have never seen him so relaxed! This is Rev’s last 2 full weeks at the Coyote Run Ranch before I move him onto Tim’s land and let him run free on 40 acres! YAY!

We are still showing our house. I hope to be able to sell it this month. These 2 winter months are our slowest and when March comes around I’m practically not even human I’m so busy. I hope we can pack up and settle into a rent house before then! Coldwell Banker’s 40 realtors are coming by for a tour today. I hope someone has a buyer for me! We almost had a bite but I guess the colors were a bit much for them.

Our trip to Ruidoso was fun. Funny pictures from that trip coming tonight!

I have been buying quite a few books lately on outdoor living spaces and gardening. Any gardeners out there? When we move this summer I want to start preparing some compost and getting a half acre ready for a veggie garden!

I ordered this once I saw it on my FAVORITE BLOG and just love it. This is a hip way to display your family tree from My Tree & Me.

January 5, 2010 - 11:04 am Robyn Lee - My husband and I just got married. We were trying to fill out the "family" pages in our Family Bible the other day and I thought to myself, I need to make a family tree, but I had no idea where to start. I love this idea. Oh and I love your horsey too!!! Good luck selling your house. I will be praying for you!

January 5, 2010 - 11:25 am Kate Leverenz - 1st-Ok I really do feel like I am stalking you. I promise I do have a life, I just love reading your blog! My husband and I happen to love gardening and have been successfully composting for about 6 months. I have a few awesome books I can recommend to you as well as a few tips for the compost pile. It can get stinky if you don't do it right. I learned the hard way! I'll shoot you an email later with the book recs. Also, how could someone be overwhelmed the the colors! That is just silly.

January 5, 2010 - 12:19 pm Erica M - Love the Family Tree! Such a cool way to display it!

January 5, 2010 - 1:01 pm katie - Love the family tree idea! And if you need any veggie garden help, contact me, my husband is a WHIZ at big gardens. He plants up to 1200 tomato plants a year, three rows of potatoes (half a football field long each), and much much more. It's awesome to have the fresh produce available for family and friends!

January 5, 2010 - 11:10 pm ashley rodgers - you need to tape up a sign on the wall somewhere that says "People, it's JUST PAINT!" home buyers are so picky! on another note, i have had a veggie and flower garden everyplace i have lived. :) LOVE gardening! and i refuse to eat a store bought tomato. i'd rather wait until late summer and pick my own. ;)

January 6, 2010 - 7:03 am chelsea - how did you get all of the info? did ancestry.com have all of it? i'm DYING for one of these for my birthday, but there's a lot of research to be done. if you used ancestry.com how much did it cost?
