Hey Lauren! Wishing London a full and quick recovery! I can relate what you are going through. Back in October we lost our 2.5 year old dane to cancer and it was so heartbreaking. Danes have such a special personality and they really do become a part of your family. In November we got another dane, a blue, named Jax. There really is no greater breed. My thoughts are with you and hope London’s health improves! All the Best!-Amanda

I am SOOO glad your London is feeling better. Sometimes these “homemade” recipes are the BEST … tried and tested by show dog owners and breeders are the best! In case you need to look again, the wheat germ (at United) is with the cereal – over by the oatmeal up on the top shelf with the “organic” grains and cream of wheat, etc.) Glad to hear good news!

WOW, you had me on the edge of my seat. I love your great danes. Everytime I see pictures of them it makes me want one. (My sister has a dane/lab mix but only weighs 55lbs.)

I’m so happy to hear she’s doing well. Ya’ll are great doggie parents!

Oh Lauren! I am so happy she is improving!
Just to let you know, I feed my dog raw also, but the great thing is they sell it already prepared! It is frozen, and my dog eats them frozen. I just take out what she needs, put it in her bowl and she eats it…no prob! It has vegetables as well as meat and all kinds or goodness.
I think you can order online if a store near you does not carry it. They have beef as well as chicken.

The vitamin store on Boston carries a “raw” dog food diet as well as a natural based one and lots of vitamins(for dogs). They also have a holistic vet ( I believe she is the owner, but not sure). This is the same raw dog food that Oprah feeds her dogs. Hope London continues feeling better!
