well, if it makes you feel any better…
if i would have gone to WPPI and saw you there, i would’ve turned into a sweaty nervous mess and said, “wow! i wish i was as cool as lauren!” because i think you pretty much one of the famouses.

and maybe someday i’ll be good enough to go to WPPI and live that in real life!

I love your openness and honesty and I can relate to most everything that you wrote. It’s hard to compare to how “cool” so many “famous” photographers seem to be. I just want to be my good ‘ol Southern girl self! I hope to meet you while in Vegas!

I’ve been worried about this as I anticipate my first WPPI. I’m not the cool girl anymore, I’m just a mom to 4 little ones who barely has time to think about wardrobes or how I look. I’m looking forward to going and learning and hopefully meeting some down to earth friends in the process. I think people Love you for your personality and talent. They are intimidated by that not what you are wearing/or the fact that every hair is perfect and in place. I think I would worry about what I was wearing so it would appear I was more talented and qualified than I actually am(even thought thats just crap).

Having said that, you are beautiful and Heidi is right, watch that Oprah, it was REALLY good! Remember, you are a child of the king and you he loves you the way you are and gave you that rock’in talent!!
