The Queen isn’t happy.

So her momma promised her Spoonfull, and guess who went with them? Moi!

Their mom told me that their most favorite thing to do was play pirates, and so we did… play pirates… in a dirty, dirty tire cave.

My first newborn in over 4 years! I just ordered a ton of stuff from Etsy for my new niece and best friend’s babies coming up in the next 2 months! Here is Riley, a sweet little newborn.

Pure Country. These 4 live on a farm in Hermleigh, Texas, my old home town for 6 years. I’ve known their parents for 15 years now. Wow, I feel old saying that. More to come, off to another shoot!

Lesson no. 2 learned from shooting kids: shooting at 1.4 isn’t going to work anymore. 3.5 is my new average.

Saturday I didn’t have a wedding and was itching to shoot, something that is happening quite a bit lately, and called up my sis-in-law to see if I could practice on her maternity pictures. Isn’t she beautiful? She is having baby no. 3, and the first girl on the Clark’s side!

So yesterday on a whim I sold three of my prime lenses on facebook. Right after I listed and sold my 45mm TS-E lens I went onto my favorite camera store, B&H, and bought the 70-200mm 2.8 IS with overnight shipping for my new venture into kids photography. Let me just say that this split second decision was a great one! Almost this entire session was shot with it and I LOVE IT! I came away from this session renewed and excited about photographing kids!
