Memoree, Cristy, Lauren, Shari and I got together for a fun night of eating bad for you food, playing in a corn field and then finished it off by introducing them all to my horse, Rev! I’m a little worried that I won’t be getting over my latest craze, my horse. So just bear with me as I wait to see if it will pass or not:). When I went to Dr. Scott’s this morning to have my teeth cleaned I was telling his wife about my new horse and she said, “Look at her! She is like a glowing mother!”, I was quite embarrassed that she noticed, oh well! Here are my friends (minus Memoree, I took her photos with her camera so she could have them).

Lauren Zaffos at 7 months!

Today was such a fun day! Josh is still in Kansas City visiting his friend Billy, and I have been having a fun time with my family, dogs, and horses! My step-dad, Tim, bought two more horses at the auction last night and so this morning I went out to the ranch and met them, then went back to wash them this afternoon, and then tonight we all went on a trail ride! Mom was too funny, she is the most afraid of the horses and so she kept switching which one she would ride until I finally put her on Rev. She kept saying that they all acted weird. It was quite funny. Magen and Brant rode double on the new HUGE quarter horse, Snoopin while Time rode the young 4 year old mare, Genuine. I rode ol Ruth. She is a little skiddish in the ranch but once you get her out on the open rode she does great!
There was some pretty awesome lightning tonight also, but by the time I got home it had pretty much passed. I did get one shot with it though! Here are the new additions: Genuine and Snoopin.

My new Urban Outfitters shirt. Isn’t it perfect???

Revelation Song. He is doing so good!

Well I haven’t been doing Blogstalker very faithfully so I decided to get back on the ball! This month’s blogstalker is very close to my heart. Cristy and I met at Texas School of Photography 4 years ago and I have loved her ever since!

5 Random things about Cristy:
I’ve been married for almost 7 years, and have an 18 month old boy. Those are some main facts, but I also wanted to share some that were actually random:
1. Ever since watching the movie “New in Town” I have loved eating tapioca pudding.
2. My new favorite movie is “Proposal”. SO cute and it had me laughing the entire time.
3. I own six seasons of the “Cosby Show”
4. If I weren’t a photographer I would be a pastry chef
5. I love remembering what its like being a kid when I play in the sprinklers with Ben, Benson and the dogs
How she found the blog: I heard about you from my friend Breanna, who is friends with your sister-n-law Marla. I was struggling with the idea of being a photographer at that moment in my life and Bre pointed me towards your work and I loved what I saw. Then we were in the TSPP class together, and now we are good friends. I know God had a plan for us to be friends even before we knew each other.
I have been blessed to be in business for three years. I am so excited for what God has done with my business this far and I can’t wait to see what He has for me and the photog business in the future.

My sister Magen and her boyfriend Brant got engaged in June and now we are in full swing of planning her wedding. She is wanting a really fun outdoor wedding and we need some help with some cool ideas for it!
Sooooo, that means we need to have a contest!
Whoever leaves the coolest decoration/reception/anything helpful idea will get a $50 gift card to Target! Leave your ideas in the comment box and Magen will pick a winner!

When I saw how cute Willis was in the last engagement session I wanted to post a picture of London. Meridian wouldn’t sit still long enough for me so I only got one of my sweet blue mantle. I have such a nice day planned. I have been gone several weeks out of the summer and when I get back it is like trying to cram 2 weeks worth of work into 1. That is how it has been this week. My dogs miss me.
I have a massage, swim time, horse time, and workout time planned this afternoon. Maybe I will end it with an evening walk with the dogs and a movie in bed. I love the weekends.

Her mother’s veil.

I just love the first sight.

It was so hot that we went into the flower shop and used their window!

Josh took this one, and I love it!

The surprise dance with Jackie and her dad.

Thriller.

I love the balloons. More couples should do this.
Jackie and Tyler were married at the Piazza in the Village in Colleyville. This is such a neat area and all the architecture is very Tuscan looking. The venue was beautiful and perfect for a wedding. They had thought of everything when they built this place last December! Jackie and Tyler are good friends with 2 other couples who Josh and I have had the joy of being their wedding photographers. I’m sad that this is the last friend of their group to get married. I hope to see you all again!!
If you have ever met me you probably have heard me say “big ol” before. Well I was wanting to do a large Brainwash and the first thing that came to mind was calling it the Big Ol’ Brainwash! I am going to be accepting 8 people for an 8 hour Brainwash on February 4th. Here is the Brainwash website if you want more info on what we will be doing. BRAINWASH website

It will be just like a normal Brainwash, but with 8 people instead of 1.
We will go over everything I know, eat a yummy lunch, go on a photoshoot, come back and learn photoshop and then answer questions! It will be a very simple workshop, no surprises, just a group learning time about photography!
Email me if you want to sign up! info@laurenclarkphotography.com
$800/person (lunch included)
From 10-6 on Thursday, February 4th at my house in Lubbock, Texas.

Yesterday I got to photograph my old high school friends! They are such beautiful people inside and out and I was so excited to get to photograph them! My favorite is their rescue dane, Willis, sticking out his tongue while they are kissing!
Here it is!
While I’m in the blogging mood I wanted to say thanks to everyone who modeled for us at Love Affair! We had enough people come to model that the groups of photographers were only 3-4 per model. It was awesome. Girls! Don’t forget to mail your disc of images to Millie so she can get them to the models and the hair/makeup peoplel! Her address is

Well let’s just say that the Love Affair Workshop Finale surpassed all of our expectations. We hired Joy Thigpen Environments to cover all of our details and boy was she incredible! I didn’t take many photos the entire week, but I did snap a few of the details for our closing dinner and spa night!
